On June 22nd, 2022, representatives from ChileCarne and the South Korean Meat Import Association (KOMIA) held an in-person meeting. The Chilean delegation was headed by José Miguel Sepúlveda, Chilean Commercial and Agricultural Attaché in South Korea, and Juan Carlos Domínguez, President of ChileCarne. Domínguez gave a presentation about the Chilean pork and poultry industry, its main figures, attributes, and challenges.
KOMIA was represented by Park Sung Min, who is also the Chairman of Sunwoo Fresh, Jung In Ho, Vice-president of Inomeat, and Ko Young Han, President of Four Season, and other members.
The South Korean representatives were quite interested in learning more about Chile’s meat production and exports, and ways to strengthen bilateral relations to increase Chile’s meat imports to that market.
