Agri-Food Export Council addresses challenges and opportunities for agricultural exports

The president of ChileCarne, Juan Carlos Domínguez, attended a new session of the Ministry of Agriculture’s Agri-Food Export Council, a public-private forum that brings together sector representatives to address the main challenges facing Chilean agricultural exports.

During the session, attendees took stock of progress on trade agreements and access to new markets, ProChile’s efforts to internationalize Chilean products, and the sector’s figures for the first half of 2026, presented by the Office of Agricultural Studies and Policy (ODEPA).

The ChileCarne team shared insights from the chicken and pork industries, emphasizing the challenges and opportunities they face in market diversification, access to sanitary resources, and strengthening Chile’s standing in international markets.

Participating in forums like this fosters active engagement in public-private dialogue and helps develop an export agenda that creates new opportunities for Chilean meat and the country’s agri-food products as a whole.
