Technical visit to Brazil provides insights into new pharmaceutical and diagnostic solutions for animal health

With the goal of strengthening animal health in Chile, representatives from the swine industry traveled to Brazil to observe the latest developments in pharmaceuticals and diagnostic tools for livestock.
The delegation consisted of Carolina Larraín, ChileCarne’s Head of Poultry Health; representatives from Agrosuper’s poultry and swine divisions; and professionals from Encipharm Chile, a company that specializes in distributing and sourcing alternative veterinary pharmaceuticals.
The tour featured visits to Farmabase and SAN Vet, two Brazilian laboratories dedicated to researching, developing, and producing animal health solutions. Participants gained insights into innovative therapies and diagnostic tools for managing and preventing diseases in poultry and swine production systems.
The visit was also an opportunity to share experiences with technical teams, learn about the latest research, and explore technologies with potential applications in Chile, thereby supporting industry-led health initiatives.
