Brazilian pork industry delegation learns firsthand about Chile’s experience with sustainability and exports

A delegation of more than 30 managers and executives from leading Brazilian pork producers visited Chile to learn in depth about the local model of production, health, biosecurity, management, nutrition, and access to international markets.

The trade association welcomed the Brazilian representatives to the meeting and outlined the pillars that have contributed to the development of the Chilean meat industry. In his presentation, ChileCarne’s president Juan Carlos Domínguez gave an overview of the sector, highlighting the country’s technical know-how, its strategic focus on sustainability and biosecurity, and the robust export model that allows it to reach highly demanding markets.

The day included opportunities to discuss technical matters, share experiences, and look at the challenges both industries face in terms of production and health, which gave the delegation a firsthand look at the practices and standards that have made Chile a leader in Latin America.

Lastly, the association expressed its gratitude to the Brazilian representatives and to 333 Latinoamérica—a platform specializing in technical information and health education for the swine industry—for organizing this visit, which strengthened ties of cooperation, learning, and joint outreach between the two countries.
