For the second year in a row, Coexca S.A. obtained Chile’s Best Managed Companies award granted by Deloitte and its partners, Banco Santander and Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. The award was given to 40 Chilean companies that displayed exceptional business performance in the previous 12 months.
The globally recognized designation evaluates four pillars: strategy, capacity and innovation, culture and commitment, and corporate governance and finances. This version included a special new category to assess how the companies developed and promoted contingency plans during the Coronavirus pandemic.
The award confirms Coexca’s exceptional business performance, recognizes its strategic development plan, and the implementation of numerous actions aimed at the company’s growth and the consolidation of its trust-based relationship with demanding markets around the world, such as China, Japan, South Korea, and 27 other relevant countries.

Guillermo García, General Manager of Coexca S.A., expressed his satisfaction and delight over the designation, which is a source of pride for every company member. “We are happy to obtain this award for the second time. It is a reflection of the daily commitment of more than a thousand company workers throughout Chile. This honor objectively recognizes the company’s management in different areas: our corporate governance, our actions in pursuit of the firm’s growth, innovation in our various processes, management technology incorporation, our actions to protect the environment, and our close ties with different communities, to name a few,” he said.
García added that this award highlights the company’s efforts to become Chile’s second largest pork producer, processor and exporter, recognized in the country and abroad for its high standards of food safety, biodiversity, and sustainability, as well as the five international certifications it holds. “The company has achieved all this thanks to its commitment to grow the economy of the Maule Region and its people, as it is one of the main sources of labor in the districts of Talca, Maule, San Javier, and others,” he stressed.
He concluded that “we expect to keep growing and continue to be one of Chile’s Best Managed Companies in the coming years, an ongoing challenge that is at the heart of Coexca S.A. and goes beyond any specific recognition.”
Because of the health emergency the country is facing, this year’s award ceremony was held remotely, where the award was accepted by Coexca’s General Manager, Guillermo García.
It should be noted that the Best Managed Program started in Canada in 1993 and has been successfully implemented ever since. It is also regarded as the main business awards program there. Given its reputation and wide acceptance by the business community, the program has been successfully implemented around the world. The participating companies were jointly assessed by a team of coaches made up of experts from Deloitte and Banco Santander.
It is worth mentioning that this program recognizes the efforts of the entire organization, not just an individual or area, as it seeks to strengthen the management of the entire company and highlight the exceptional performance of some companies that meet high standards in the areas assessed.
