On April 4 at the Renaissance Hotel in Santiago, 13 Chinese pork importers from the Qinghai province met with representatives from ChileCarne and its member companies Agrosuper, Coexca, and Maxagro.
The president of ChileCarne, Juan Carlos Domínguez, welcomed the visitors and spoke with them about the evolution of the Chilean meat industry, especially pork.
“As an industry, we work every day to put a world-class product on your table that meets China’s requirements. We follow the highest standards of health, safety, biosecurity, and sustainable development. Our companies care about the environment,” said Domínguez during his presentation.
Agrosuper, Coexca, and Maxagro then held B2B meetings with the importers to provide detailed information about the processes that make Chile the seventh largest global pork exporter and China’s eighth largest supplier.
The Qinghai importers expressed great interest in learning more about Chile’s meat production and exports, as well as how to strengthen ties to increase meat imports from Chile.
